As we continue to grow, we're expanding our design team and are now looking for a UX Designer who will help our product teams solve real customer problems and shape the next generation of purchase and post-purchase experiences.

About the Role

As a UX Designer at Walley, you will play a key role in driving user-centric discoveries, shaping product experiences across multiple customer journeys, and supporting our autonomous product teams with research, insights, and design solutions.

You will join a collaborative, curious, and data-driven design function that works closely with product managers and developers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and consistent experiences across our ecosystem, from checkout flows to MyWalley, one of the Nordics’ most used fintech apps.

This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, enjoys solving hard problems, and can balance research, ideation, design, and facilitation in a fast-moving environment.

What You Will Do

• Drive and conduct user research, with a strong emphasis on quantitative insights (qualitative experience is a plus)
• Turn user, technical, and business needs identified through your research into clear problem definitions and actionable design decisions
• Design user journeys, flows, and prototypes for complex, high-transaction environments
• Apply and evolve our Design System, including usage, contribution, governance, component reviews, and design token management
• Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders to iterate quickly and effectively
• Visualize complex data and concepts in clear, intuitive ways
• Facilitate workshops and design activities with cross-functional teams
• Present insights, concepts, and solutions to teams and decision-makers
• Contribute to building scalable UX practices across multiple products and domains

What We Are Looking For

You’re a communicative and curious designer who loves digging into complex problems and turning them into impactful experiences. You enjoy having many things in motion, you’re quick on your feet, and you bring both confidence and humility to your craft.

We think you’ll succeed here if you:

• Have significant experience working with user research, especially quantitative methods
• Feel comfortable juggling multiple initiatives and maintaining structure in a dynamic environment
• Are truly data-driven, customer-driven, and design-driven
• Thrive on problem-solving, you're the kind of person who wakes up thinking about user journeys
• Have strong communication and presentation skills
• Can contribute to or help shape UX as an organizational capability
• Are experienced with applying a Design System across several products
• Understand how to iterate effectively with stakeholders and developers
• Bring confidence, clarity, and presence in discussions and workshops

Bonus if you have:

• Experience establishing or scaling UX practices in a growing organization
• Experience with design tokens (setup, usage, deployment)
• Have basic knowledge of CSS or frontend concepts
